Melt Shop Supervisor
Melt Shop Supervisor:

This position provides supervisory support to plant operations on evening shift to management workforce, monitor production and provide shift reports, ensure adherence to policies & procedures.
Core Accountabilities:
o Ensure work performed is according to safety standards and expectations, providing recommendations when needed.
o Provide supervision for union workforce, assisting with the achievement of optimal production objectives.
o Monitor production, report concerns and assist with resolutions as needed.
o Provide shift reports to department management.
o Coordinate flow of material within operations and provide support where needed.
o Maintain employee time records.
Competencies and Qualificationso Minimum of A.
S.
degree from accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience.
o Minimum 2 years of supervisor, teambuilding and industrial experience (steel mill experience a plus).
o Effective verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and work within a team structure to support company objectives and maintain/build positive working relationships.
o Mathematical aptitude with an ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
o Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and be confident in decision making.
o Strong mechanical and/or industrial aptitude preferred.
o Ability to manage conflict, coach and mentor others.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
o Experience with Kronos preferred.
o Experience with maintenance CMM programming, i.
e.
INFOR or others, preferred.
Pay Details:
$90,000.
00 to $100,000.
