02 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:
1.
Support internally and externally, verbally and in action the missions of Riverbend Head Start & Family Services.
2.
Demonstrate commitment to the total Agency and its strategic direction through collaboration with other programs and department to further organizational goals.
3.
Schedule and present new employee orientation sessions including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, pre-employment physicals, TB tests and drug screenings, processing required paperwork, ensure personnel files are complete, follow up on outstanding issues, etc.
4.
Assist the Human Resources Specialist in providing timely and consistent assistance to employees in the area of benefits.
5.
Maintain confidentiality.
6.
Maintain hard copy personnel files including separate I-9, medical and benefit files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
7.
Assist the Human Resources Specialist in processing required paperwork in administering FMLA, COBRA and workman's compensation for employees and applicable insurance carriers.
8.
Collaborate with hiring Supervisors, Human Resources Coordinator and Human Resources Director in staff recruitment functions including screening resumes, internal and external applications, scheduling and participating in interviews, making selection recommendations, and deliver offers of employment, promotion, transfer, etc.
9.
Utilize traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality/qualified candidates striving to fill vacant positions within a reasonable timeframe (approximately three to four weeks) from the date the position became vacant.
10.
Assist all employees with the utilization of human resources system.
11.
Provide back-up to the Human Resources Specialist in scheduling and processing all functions necessary to enroll and maintain employee's benefits to include health and dental coverage, 401k and life insurance.
Make recommendations for benefit plan changes to Human Resources Director as needed.
12.
In conjunction with the Human Resources Specialist, work collaboratively with the human resources system vendor in maintaining electronic feed functionality.
13.
Provide back-up to the Human Resources Specialist in the timely processing of departmental bills to include health, dental and life insurance.
14.
Maintain motor vehicle and background checks on all employees.
15.
Assist Payroll Manager in updating and maintaining HR and payroll databases.
16.
Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives and systems.
17.
Process incoming departmental mail and phone calls in a timely, efficient and appropriate manner.
18.
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director, Human Resources Coordinator and Human Resources Specialist as needed.
19.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
Associates degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Three years of human resources experience, computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications and a basic competency in all aspects of clerical duties preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to effectively manage and maintain large amounts of data is required.
Must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work and throughout the work day.
