POSITION
Summary:
The Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the organizational aspects of credentialing the Professional Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Providers; Responsible for assuring all individuals with clinical privileges are competent and maintain competency to provide patient care within the scope of their training, licensure, and privileges and bylaws; Works with Credentialing Verification Office to ensure complete verification for credentialing and privileging.

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 2 years of progressively more responsible related work experience in a healthcare setting.
Requires independent problem solving and decision making abilities.
Must be skilled in using a computer and data entry including using systems such as excel and word.
Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and other personnel.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Credentialing Specialist Certification within 2 years.
Experience with physician credentialing and privileging process.
Experience working with medical staff functions, medical/legal issues and law, regulatory agency requirements and standards.
